Interactive Library
For my Interactive Design class, we were asked to create a website that would force the user to interact with every page they were on. My idea for this project came when i started thinking about how I used to go to the library a lot as a kid and now I don't. Maybe if the library was fun and exciting again, people would start to go more. So, I created a library that teaches its users about famous authors and famous books from each "section" of the "library".
The Front Desk. This is the first thing that the user sees. They will have the option of going to the bookshelves to choose a section, or going to the Author's Gallery. Certain objects on the desk will also move and animate when clicked on or rolled over.
The Mystery section. In this section, users will learn about a famous mystery author and three books from that section.
The Science Fiction section. This page will include information on three famous books from Science Fiction.
The "Author's Gallery". Whenever there is a picture hanging on the wall of a "room", it will take the user here so they can learn more about a famous author from each section of the "library".
